"Equality Parade 2008 is over. A couple thousands people marched on the main street of capital of Poland. Nine floats and hundreds of police. This parade was very calm, colorful and loud. About 100 protesters from National Rebirth of Poland tried to make some troubles, but police stopped them very quickly." read more at Szymon Niemiec Live

Of course, things are still far from rainbow-colored here.

According to Centre for Public Opinion Research only 6%, six percent, people of Poland support equal rights for LGBT people. 66% are against the right for public manifestations, and 37% want penalization of homosexuality. Thirty seven percent think when two consenting adults of the same gender have sex, they should be sent to jail.
